What?

On this page you can exercise parts of the i9n boardgame. If you can select a free oil-well you can reserve it permanently for you, if you have ordered the original game (see i9n). You will be official oil-well owner and get either a ticket for Spiel 2010 in Essen or 6 € discount.

If you do not know what i9n means then you should study the rules and visit Strothmann-Spiele.

How?

Click on the rotating stock notes and restrict the seach range step by step. Chosen stocks are removed from the carousel and all oil-well fields on the worldmap that correspond to all selected stock notes will be highlighted. This is equivalent to entering punch cards in the processor in the i9n boardgame.
The computations you see here (binary AND) correspond to the ones in the i9n paperback processor. If you have selected 6 different stock notes of different kinds, there is only one oil-well left- and you can be the owner of it forever! (Be careful: You can't use your codenumber to get different fields- so think twice which oil-well you would really like to own).

How to go on?

Real fun comes with the original boardgame i9n. Here you only have a small demo, showing the main principle but the boardgame has much more capabilities. You have to combine informations, find the right moments to drill, buy and sell stock notes and also you need a little bit luck to drill successfully for the rare oil-wells. The stock notes you see here in the carousel are the valuta in the boardgame and the punchcards make the game behave like a computer-controlled game -although it is all just paperboard...
